Good Morning
Does anyone know whether the doors are the same on both? I've got an opportunity for a leather interior including door cards but its not local, mines an estate and this is a hatch ( well I think it is, did they do a saloon?)
cheers

Re: c5 mk1 hatch and estate
The Mk1 and Mk2 are Hatchbacks in that the tailgate lifts up - the newer X7 Saloons are not Hatchbacks - they only have a boot. The door cards are the same for the Mk1 Saloon and Estate models and the Front doors between the estate and saloons are the same, but the rear doors are not the same parts numbers between an estate and the hatchback. I can't tell you what is different, but where the fronts have the same part numbers, the rear doors do not - so obviously I would assume it has something to so with the shape / design.

Re: c5 mk1 hatch and estate
Thanks Mark
I believe the donor is a Mk 1 Saloon, a HPi petrol one with leather etc ( its been written off as he / his garage cannot locate a HPi pump, there are none available in the UK or France / Belgium, whether new or breakers he advises ), so if it is a saloon should they fit my Mk 1 estate? I have said I'll nip over next week to verify either way, just interested!
If anyone needs anything please message me and I'll have a look, the car is in Nottingham
cheers

Re: c5 mk1 hatch and estate
The only difference (from what I have read here) in the seats is that the saloon does not have the luggage net unit fitted to the back seat (and does not have the mounting points for it either).

Re: c5 mk1 hatch and estate
On a C5 estate it is a long box item mounted on the back of the 60% rear seat (under the rear seat cover/parcel shel). It connects to two sets of latching point; one set above the point where the seats are in the upright position, the other set when the seats are in the down position.
