Re: Buy used 406
Later models had optional cruise from GLX spec up (so this was not far off the 'base' model) I remember a regular customer had a 2.0 with Cruise and that was otherwise not a 'high spec' model at all.
I'm not sure on ESP. Do you actually 'need' it ? The car is quite stable generally and sensibly thought out suspension, offering good grip and half decent in bad weather too. I do not recall traction control being available, it may of been on the V6 units however.
All (or almost all) late models as in 2000 onwards will have ABS with that EBFD 'addon' anyway. This is really just a way of not having a 'rear compensation' valve though.

Thanks Spider for advice, I think I better forget about ESP.

Currently only 76 on Autotrader, and of those only 1 has ESP - and it's a coupe. I think if you want a 406, then you'll just have to buy what's available! If you really want ESP then go for something later. The MK2 307 for instance has ESP on SE and above.

Not interest in other car, I like the 406 is good enough I will buy one day when I find good one.
