Rain sensitive windows

Post by renagade »

Hi Guy's
Well its time to get the lexia out again. Do you think that I could activate the windows to close if it rains, they close when I lock the car. 2009 c5 x7 ??????
What does the team think???????

Works on my facelift C5, so I should think it's available on the x7.

I'm not all sure about that. I have a feeling that it was one of the many good ideas from the MkI/facelift that were deleted for the X7.
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

Inside every old person is a young person wondering what the hell happened.

I had this on my C5 SX Mki, but the feature was never on my exclusive facelift, and is not available on the X7 for sure, as I've checked on all the Diagbox menus for it!

I thought they removed the auto closing when it rains feature as it was potentially dangerous for rear passengers (children especially) as the Windows on some models didnt have anti pinch in the rear (only the front had these on my Mk I SX). Those windows had a powerful lift and could easily break small fingers.

Normally they don't, unless you press and hold the lock button on the remote for 2 seconds (just to avoid confusion for other members thinking this is what is standard)

I have a habit of ALWAYS re-checking after the car is locked (manually or with the remote) by pulling on the door handle ... never understood people who simply turn away from their car and lock the car with the remote (which may malfunction or not send the lock signal at all) and just disappear ...

I have to admit to being one of those - I can hear the doors lock and that's enough for me - although I do often completely forget to lock them and have on a couple of occasions returned to the car and found I had left the driver's door wide open.

My doors make a Sound when deadlocking, my indicators Flash and the Mirrors fold.........only OCD would make me check the handle :)
