Hi All
I have one of those awkward problems which is bugging me and I'm hoping someone here might shed some light on it!
My Xsara Picasso occasionally loses power, it's as though the accelerator pedal has no effect at all during one of these lulls, it doesn't even rev the engine. I pull in for a few moments and it comes back fine. The car does move forwards if I release the clutch, but I can't increase the revs above idle.
Also, which may be related, I've noticed that my cruise control no longer works. These two issues began happening around the same time. First thoughts were a fuel filter but I wondered if it was related to the braking system since CC won't activate when the brakes are on? Just a thought though.
Any ideas?
Thanks
John

These are prone to problems with the brake light switch - next time it does it, check whether the brake lights are (unexpectedly) on. I can't remember if you can adjust it, or if it needs replacing.
