C5 x 7 partial loss of dash screen

Unread post by KennyW »

Afternoon All,

Last evening I noticed my mpg, miles to fill up have disappeared from the screen. Also when I got in the car the my seat settings had changed.

Thought I would put my diagbox on the car this refusing to talk to the car saying VCI not connected.

Has anyone any thoughts on the missing mpg etc ?

The diagbox will probably a poor connection, I'm trying to find my other cables.

Are there dashes where the Distance to fill was displayed Kenny? This only operates when there is 19 miles or over on the fuel remaining. If it's not that, have you tried rotating the left hand steering wheel control to cycle through the displays?

Thanks for the reply Marc,

Yes it is the miles to go etc, I will have a read of the manual to find which button to push, this could be the answer but the car seat settings changing. I may have hit something when leaving the car.

The good news I've found my correct cables for the diagbox.

Will check it over tomorrow.

Well, I must have touched the main menu button and changed the settings. Returned to normal.

The seat settings I must have done likewise.

Thanks again to Marc and Alasdair for his support.

Alasdair,

There is so much to learn about the car and you require a degree to read the manual.

Between the manual and the diagbox I feel like a young kid at school for the first time.
