Do we have a consensus on this problem shown on the Activa FB pages ?

My feeling Alasdair, if the rubber is not perished and/or gone really soft it's not a problem. It's clamped quite tightly in it's clamp... Cracks, I believe, are not serious...

If we needed replacements then our friend who does strut top rebuilds somewhere out east could possibly make them.

Not sure whether this bush could contain a polyurethane replacement bushing from this company:
superpro.com.au
They offer a vast range of custom and generic bushings, which outlive OE synthetic rubber many times over.
Their products are available in UK.
If you know the dimensions of what you're looking for, their listing is very comprehensive.

That's a good thought Chris :D Although it has a shape I think if the replacement material was a bit malleable then it could mould itself to the required shape by virtue of being clamped in place when in service.
