Rear window tint

Unread post by renagade »

Hi Guy's
Do you think that the concave rear window on the saloon can be tinted using that window tint film.I have seen some shades that you can fit and detach at will but wonder what they would look like , apart from wanting to change to a newer c5 later next year the blinds would fit my other car.
What does the team think????????

Given that the rear concave screen is obviously curved, trying to cover it with that stick-on film would likely be a fiddly and messy job and I doubt the end result would look very good.

A Genuine Citroen rear blind kit £232 - here C5 Rear Blind

Or, consider the breakers and get a rear parcel shelf from an exclusive that has the blind built in - but you will also need the rear headlining hooks for the blind to latch onto. If that looks like too much hassle, then your suggestion of an aftermarket one might be the solution.

Even on flat glass rear windows stick-on tinted film never looks right because the raised lines of the heated rear window stop the film from sitting absolutely flat. The long air bubbles, although slim, stand out when looked at from outside.
