Hi Peeps,
any advice on where I can get hold of a second hand diesel tank for my Safari - apparently it's 'weeping'... and if I can't find one - so will I be...

I should have been clearer (I don't know if it makes a difference) - It's a diesel...
Re: Another Parts Hunt for my CX
... and given that it's just flown though the MOT I really would like this to be sorted... It's embarrassing having a car that leaves puddles (even if they are tiny)...

Leaking fuel yet it flew through the MoT???? or is this something that's developed since the test?
Either way, I'd suggest that if it's leaking along a seam and not pinholed/weakened by rust at the bottom then a good tank sealant would be the best route forward. If it does have a rusty bottom, depending how bad it is, you could get it patch-welded up despite it's use as a fuel container just make sure it's thoroughly emptied of diesel and either flooded with water or welding gas prior to making any sparks. Once strength is restored the sealant is a good idea anyway to help prevent any future deterioration.
