I need to renew my rear bump stops as they are perished and will soon disintegrate. I've found some online for £40 but there are numerous pairs on fleabay for £10.

Re: Xantia rear buimp stop interchangeable with C5?
Quick search on Service.Citroen shows they are not the the same, for C5-II and Xan-II.
When I replaced these on our XM, I found them cheap enough from Citroen.

Is £37 a pair for a bit of foam and plastic cheap? I need 3 pairs!! nearly £120 including delivery!! Why are the C5 ones only £10 a pair? I was hoping to find the foam inserts as thats the part that wears, and be able to reuse the plastic tops.

Re: Xantia rear buimp stop interchangeable with C5?
If it's any help when I fitted some spring assisters to Xsara Estate I had to change one of the bumpstops.
There are two types of bumpstop fitted to the Xsara, a smaller harder black type and, the type I had, a larger, softer orange one. I found a replacement one on a Xsara Picasso so maybe if you look on Xsaras and Picassos you may find something the same.

Think that the large orange foam type is to halt upward wheel movement; smaller one is to stop rebound/wheel drop.
I had to use modified (cheap Citroen) foam stops, reduced in height by half, on the XM, inside the cross-tube, as OE parts NFP. Loads of Citroen foam stops starting with the same four part number digits.

Maybe but I wasn't looking for rebound stops. There are definitely two different types of bumpstop fitted to the Xsara as most that I came across were the smaller black ones.white exec wrote:Think that the large orange foam type is to halt upward wheel movement; smaller one is to stop rebound/wheel drop.
