Picasso 2.0 HDI made 2004 HELP..AGAIN

Post by Delivery_Driver »

OK a question please,
My Keys x2 after I did the key reset procedure will not work remotely off the buttons.
BUT they do work by using the door locks.
Been like this since I got the car last week.
My radio had or has the few seconds bleep so that's not good, but a dealer said he can sell me a radio thats been wiped and no code needed so that can cure that fault.
The central locking thing has go me beat, did a BSI reset, and even done the remove the shunt fuse way as well with no difference in remote preference to open / close car remotely.
Any Ideas mateys that are reading this please.
Thanks in advance.
DD................. Here is the car picture if it helps in any way.

Try this to re-match the keys to the car.

There are a variety of similar methods for different cars.

As for the radio, if you can get it on a Lexia that will stop the beeps - it must somehow have lost the VIN.

If you could make it to one of the rallies there are always people there with Lexias.

I think he tried that in the other thread Steve as part of the BSI reset. It does sound like the radio has been replaced at some point and not coded to the car properly. That being said, I'm now also thinking that there could be some other parameters that are not right if this is the case and that it will need a Lexia session to not only code it to the vehicle, but also to check the other settings that are programmed into the head unit, as these could be wrong for the current car. Even if you get another head unit, it will still need to be coded and the parameters checked for the current vehicle.

I would try what Steve suggests first, but it is looking more like you will need a Lexia to check out the vehicle overall.

Great, the beeping is usually the coding issue, so at least that's sorted 8-)
