The Lexia or not

Post by renagade »

Hi Guy's
Well today I opened my box with the Lexia inside and found two unknown CD's with no instructions on and a lot of cables. Well to cut a long story short I am completely bewildered by it all and have decided to send it all back.
I am no computer whizkid ( 67 years old ) and so for me no Lexia [-X [-X

I am still hoping the Guy in Rotherham will get in touch has he has the Lexia up and running and would like my DRL's turning on.
Thanks for reading my topic

Although I did offer to help install it for you, I think if it's only the odd thing like activating DRLs, then maybe it is better to find somebody local willing to do this for you Renegade. It can be a bit daunting, becuase unfortunately it's not like the Diagbox versions we have to use are 'fully packaged, off the shelf' consumer software that you just click and install - one of the compromises we have to make I'm afraid. I'm sure you'll have your DRLs up and running soon. :)

I successfully installed mine using a video on youtube, you don't want the short ones that go at the speed of lightning but there is one that lasts about 25 minutes and explains step by step, I struggled a bit but managed it and I'm 77. :-D

Well done Paul, we need people to explain things carefully  My laptop uses XP and it works fine on there, except on the C5 but that's scrap now so it doesn't matter.

Not really although I prefer the handling of the 406, its just that four days before we were going on holiday it emptied the entire contents of the cooling system through the exhaust, looked like a '50s smog, could be the head gasket but I think its more likely that the head is cracked, Its now parked at the top of the field with my original 406 (parts dept) and four XMs and I bought another 406, I find them more reliable and easier to work on than the C5s

The hydropnumatic Citroens have gone steadily down hill since the days of the CX.
