flashing lights

Hi, my S2 Xantia, the Airbag light is flashing on the dashboard and the seat belt light stays on !while we are belted. any help greatfully received. many thanks in advance Terry.

Check, disconnect, use "contact cleaner" and reassemble the under seat connections.

NOTE: DISCONNECT the batter for 20mins PRIOR to working on the wires (Air-Bag safety)

The usual cause is movement/crap festering in the connectors under the front seats (possibly exacerbated if you have more than one driver with significantly different seating positions). When these connectors lose integrity, the airbag ECU disarms to prevent any false triggering.

Make sure you do leave the battery off for a good 20-30min before getting stuck in, an airbag to the back of the head may hurt considerably.
