Re: LEXIA help required! Please save Otterchops from the BIG hammer.....
What exactly is or isn't happening when you launch Diagbox? Any messages, activation errors? Has it been working previously or is this a new or reinstallation? Need more info to start with including Diagbox version, XP version etc.

Re: LEXIA help required! Please save Otterchops from the BIG hammer.....
There are 2 problems here.
The Lexia and the laptops' power supply. Get a decent power supply and I'll have another go......
I'll do some screenshots and all that good stuff......

Also make sure you have the car running when you do a global test as the car may very well go into economy mode and hen it won't communicate.

Re: LEXIA help required! Please save Otterchops from the BIG hammer.....
Well, we know that Otterchops did talk to (and, probably, listen to) my Lexia. It showed when you pressed those buttons on the CC stalk, even if we are not sure the configuration bit took.

That's why I was asking whether Xantianut's Lexia has worked on this car before to establish what if anything has changed to prevent this. Was there a reason why you used your kit then James?

Re: LEXIA help required! Please save Otterchops from the BIG hammer.....
when I used my lexia (on my synergie) I needed to input the chassis number and the RP - then it happily went in and I could test everything;
is that the right way?

Re: LEXIA help required! Please save Otterchops from the BIG hammer.....
It does depend on the car. ON the C5 (with the ignition on) it can read the VIN (it will ask if the VIN it found is correct), but it does ask for the RPO. However, on my previous car (a Xantia) the Lexia did ask for the VIN.

Are you talking about the Lexia Software specifically James? Diagbox doesn't ask for RPOs on the X7, nor on our 2007 C3.

Ay up!
It found the chassis number and all that but then asked to be registered. And it was already registered so wouldn't!
A plan of action has been formulated. Once the new power supply arrives for the nerd box then Imshall strip down the drive, reload everything and try again. After hiding the 4lb hammer......

Re: LEXIA help required!
Ay up!
I have sworn enough to scorch the screen.
OK, sit rep. Win7 32 bit loaded up and running.
Tried to load up Lexia package and it gets so far the tells me EAccess Violation. Proxia 3 gets to 39% then sticks. PP2000 loads up but refuses to start.
Whatever that means! I have tried loading as an admin and running compatibility mode but to no avail.
The package tells me it is designed for XP service pack 2 which I have and it refused to run on that either! Do I need an update CD or is there summat this technophobe is missing? Would updated software help? Where do I go from here?

Re: New OS, Lexia will not even load!!!!!!
Ay up!
Had a Goooooogle and found a vendor of CDs that claim to include summat called Virtual Machine software to allow the Chinese clone I have to run on Win7. They cost about £10.
Now, I know nowt about these nerd boxes so is buying one of these money wasted? Or, given my level of,incompetence, would it be a reasonable buy?
Please be gentle. This Mighty Spanner God is baffled by technology.....

Re: New OS, Lexia will not even load!!!!!!
If it wont install on a real XP OS, then it is not going to install on a VM.
There is something wrong with either your software or your installation method, but I cant tell what.
