2008 C5 Navidrive problem
Hi. Could somebody please help or push (shove) me into the right direction.
I have a 2008 (58) C5 Exclusive Tourer with NaviDrive, it has MP3 HDD on the front so think its a RT4 ? Anyway, my daughter was in there alone pressing buttons (bless) and i now have a frozen screen with "cheat code" and loads of numbers beside it. There is also a green light flashing above the "SOS" button ? The system wont let me do anything ? It is completely frozen. Is there a reset ? I have taken the leads off the battery for an hour hoping this may "clear" the problem but it just goes back to how it was once battery reconnected.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi and thank you for your reply.
Mine is the same as the RT4/5 pictured, but mine has "MP3 HDD" printed on the chrome bar below where the one in the pic just has MP3.
Regards

Ok, first thing to try is to start the car and hold in the DARK button on the unit (long press) until the system reboots. See if this solves the problem.

@ vattie - I'd first try to long press the hang-up (red) button, it might come out of that cheat code screen

No probs - and watch out for SOS button as this will call the emergency services - so be careful.

Re: 2008 C5 Navidrive problem
Ahhh that brings me onto another quick question, as i said i have only had this car a week and as yet have not had a chance to look at the telephone properly but I did have a quick play and noticed "bluetooth" was in the manual, I followed all instructions but alas nothing, and I cant see nothing about "Bluetooth" in any of the rt4/5 settings.....would it have been a factory option so that some of these sat systems have it and some dont? I see there is a sim card slot, but my phone company dont do a 2nd sim , so i would have to have a different number if i was to use the phone like this. Would have been nice to have been able to pair my phone to car as it obviously has all my contacts etc

Not anymore Steve - you can only have the same number active on the cellular network at the same time - all the phone companies have stopped doing them in the UK for some years now.myglaren wrote:Can you get a clone SIM?

Re: 2008 C5 Navidrive problem
Vattie - I don't believe this model is Bluetooth equipped. According to the year of your car, it uses the SIM card with the internal phone. The online manual does not have any info relating to Bluetooth under the Audio settings of this system. The Bluetooth section is for a different unit.vattie wrote:Ahhh that brings me onto another quick question, as i said i have only had this car a week and as yet have not had a chance to look at the telephone properly but I did have a quick play and noticed "bluetooth" was in the manual, I followed all instructions but alas nothing, and I cant see nothing about "Bluetooth" in any of the rt4/5 settings
Regarding the SIM issue: On my older RT3 Navidrive system, I got a free simcard with a new number and put a tenner credit on. Then what I did is a little trick to divert my calls from my mobile to the carphone using the shortcut codes as a contact and the same to 'undivert' the calls, thus:
Assumption: Let's assign the SIM card phone with this number to demonstrate: 07777 123456
- On your mobile phone create a contact called 'Car Divert'. Save to a Speed Dial if preferred.
- In the contact details add the following as the phone number: **21*07777123456# and save. Save to a Speed Dial if preferred
- Next create a secondary contact and call it 'Car Undivert' and in the phone number details, add this: ##21#
Now, when you are going for a drive just hit the speed dial you created for 'Car Divert' or (dial the contact directly) on your mobile and all your voice calls will automatically be diverted to the car telephone. When you want cancel the divert, hit the second speed dial (or the 'Car Undivert' entry) and that will cancel all diverts.
A simpler way to use your car phone without having to give everyone the number. Of course, when making a call from the car, you can always choose to withhold the number, so you don't have people ringing you directly on the car phone when you are not in the car!
Now the codes may have changed, but this works for Vodafone and a few others - but should be easy enough to change accordingly.

No worries. I think those codes work for BT Mobile, O2 and Vodafone for sure.?
