My OSR window winder cable snapped some years ago and I've finally got round to doing something about it. There is a manual window winder on fleabay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/262360942289? ... EBIDX%3AIT (item number 262360942289 if the link doesn't work) but - of course - it's different to the one fitted to my car.
Does anyone know if the cable type and this ratchet variety are interchangeable? I suspect not unless one has either the door glass or the strip that fits to the bottom of the glass.
I've never yet needed to open that window, but after the two and a half grand I've spent on it over the past eight years, another £15 or so just seems like a drop in the ocean!
