Unplugged cables.

Post by BerlingoMultifault »

ImageI have a 2009 Multispace which I bought in Feb 2016.

Hi All I discovered two cables under the bonnet with plugs attached which at not connected to anything but do not connect together.
My head lights aren't functioning at the moment but main Citroen dealer says that is a fuse box issue which he confirmed by swapping the fuse box out to try.

Does anyone know what these cables are for or where they should be plugged in.
Images attached.
Thanks.

It is likely that the cables in this case were not connected to anything. This is not unusual. Those plugs might be for something that would be fitted on an Exclusive model (for example), but not a lesser model. Having a couple of wiring loom options (as opposed to a loom version per model) saves manufacturing costs and allows for some upgrade options.

Could this be A/C related. Is this a sign of a missing A/C?

I followed the link directly and the Berlingo forum requires you to log in in order to view any pictures unfortunately.

They could well be spare cables, as said there's not a loom generally made for each model specification. From memory things like the 306 there were two 'interior' looms and unless you had the base one, you could plug any other bits in you wanted. Rear interior light springs to mind here, rare fitment I think but most actually have the wiring already there.

I wonder if the plugs you have found are for front fog lights actually as you say there's a pair... Just a thought.

Yeah, my C15's full of 'em - & there's no upmarket version (although some had 'lecky windows - allegedly), including what appears to be a socket for a 2nd flasher can?????
