Hi everyone,
New member here with a freshly acquired 106 GTi. Everything is good with it bar a weird central locking problem...
When using the key in the drivers door, all works correctly and all the doors unlock. Press the button on the remote (1 button remote) when its locked and it will unlock all the doors. Press the button again and nothing! Basically the remote unlocks but does not lock the door.
Can anyone shed any light on what it might be? I've got the wiring diagram, but is it a +/- system? I can't get my head around it with it only being one button!

Peugeot 106, remote key (central locking with single-button remote)
1. Unlock the car using the 'normal' key and make sure that all the doors are unlocked.
2. Press the remote key button and keep it pressed until the LED stops flashing, then release the button.
3. The LED should now be illuminated constantly.
4. Press the remote button once, and the LED should go out.
5. Open the door, hold the remote key near the ignition switch, and press the remote button once.
6. Insert the key into the ignition switch. Turn it to position 2 (dashboard lights illuminated). Wait ten seconds, then turn the ignition off again.
7. After a period of five seconds the remote should work correctly.
