On a couple of occasions when going to brake the brake pedal has gone hard with loss of braking performance, this has happened when driving for a few miles and also just after start up.
The pipes coming from the vac pump all look ok and i can not here any leaks, removing the vac pipe from the servo gives a hard pedal and creeps down when connected.
Any ideas what could be wrong?
If one of the many vac pipes had a leak would this not bring up a warning on the dash?
Does the servo have a one way valve? If the servo was faulty surely brakes would be poor all the time!
Possible vac pump poor, not feeding another vac for servo and all the different valves at times?
