Hello All, I have finally got my C5 going but only after taking it to the Citroen agent. They identified it as a lack of power to the fuel pump caused by a fault in the main fuse box. This required a new fuse box, all is now well except my pride and wallet!
I, to date have not had much success with my Lexia 3 Diagbox, this I think is perhaps mainly due to my lack of knowledge of the subtleties of computers and also my lap-top which is old and it's running of Windows XP. With this in mind may I ask which is the best programme to use? I find that apart from the slowness of my lap-top I seem to go in circles and each time I use it, a different circle. Help please.
Perhaps I am stuck in the past in which a wiring diagram was the necessary to sort out electrical problems. Whilst the Agents have these diagrams they are not sharing them at any price. Even bribery doesn't help. This tells me that { here let me say that I have a suspicious mind, particularly about Ali Barber and his 40 garage proprietors} here is something that they want to hide from the public. Does anyone know where I can get these diagrams.
As an aside on wiring diagrams, I have a 1938 Packard 120 which has been restored over a number of years. I did rewire it and also added a few extras so as to bring it up to date with today's traffic laws. Unfortunately I did not make a wring diagram as I went along. This is now proving to be a bit of a mission as I have largely forgotten what I did. A hard lesson learnt!.
Best Regards,
Exasperated.

If you sign up to here you can get access to all the service stuff for your car: http://service.citroen.com
Be very careful about the URL address as some scammers have used a close, similar but different name to hit you with some not very nice stuff.
You can register on the site and access a lot for free but there are some fee charging sections depending on your status and needs.
Most world languages are catered for and you can choose at bottom right of the screen.

Re: C5 LEXIA
The XP laptop should be ideal for Diagbox - especially so if it's 32-bit.
It might be worth cleaning the laptop of any old, unused programs to free up a bit of processor speed. Also, I'd recommend using "Disk Cleanup" - it'll wipe any old, unnecessary files which you may not otherwise be aware of.
Finally, if you tell me what wiring diagram you need and send me as much information about your car as possible (engine size, engine code, absolutely anything you can find), I can try and get the required wiring diagram for you.

Hello All, I will try the web-site suggested by gibbo2286, as well as getting the required info for jimmymarsbar.
It is interesting to browse through the problems experienced by members. A rough survey shows that C5's have a lot of electronic problems. Distressing!!

True, but the C5 has a lot more electronics than its predecessors.

Re: C5 LEXIA
I have been very lucky with electronics problems on my C5s, hardly any and none serious, just temporary due to low battery voltage.
The radio and CD changer appear to be shot but the problems there are mechanical rather than electronic.

Re: C5 LEXIA
I never got my Lexia to work on my C5, in fact I have two and neither of them will, fine on the 406 though. Sadly the car is no more so I don't have to worry now. I manged to repair all the faults it developed without the Lexia anyway so it didn't really matter.

Re: C5 LEXIA
You will certainly get more responses eventually but in the meantime have a scan of this thread with lots of Lexia info in it.
