xantia leaking

Thought I'd ask before I started digging into it, I have a small leak that seems to be near the front passenger headlight. It seems to be trickling down onto the under tray.

Any idea what it is and is it a case that it might be a job that could have a complication?

That may be your water pump or radiator. Hows the coolant level?

May be LHM.

Hopefully it's your screen wash.

If it's the water pump it can turn into a big deal if it isn't fixed.

Have you looked under the bonnet? Is the fluid watery or oily?

it is definitely LHM, and I think the location is under the reservoir, guess I'll have to do a bit of investigation

If its an LHM leak coming from under the reservoir, it's probably the anti-sink valve leaking as it is situated right underneath the reservoir tank.

A common problem that can often be fixed with a new o-ring - search the forum for details. If you're replacing the o-ring make sure you use the right grade of high pressure oil resistant o-ring, "standard" o-rings will fail again in short order as they can't tolerate LHM or the high pressure they work under.

So it seems like the strut return was cracked and leaking before it snapped and made a mess, I have a temp fix in place until the replacement part is sorted.

I'll check the anti-sink valve too, as I'm sure the leak appeared from the front near the headlight too.
