Hey Guys,
Anyone know how to disable the audible seat belt alarm in a C4 Grand Picasso 08 ? I think the visual one is enough :/
Thanks

Re: Seat Belt Alarm
On the C5, the 'seat belts not fastened warning system' cannot be deactivated. It is highly integrated with the airbag ECUs, the seat belt switches / pretensioners, the BSI and variopus other ECUs. I suspect this will be the same with your C4 GP.

Re: Seat Belt Alarm
I was also hoping it can be turned off...
Rear seat giving audible warning even when seat belt is fastened. Quite annoying when child sleeps and after small bump on the road it goes off. Even restarting the car often not helping... Was hoping that cutting some wires may sort that....

Re: Seat Belt Alarm
No, don't do that or you will have major expense!
Cutting wires is not the solution or you will find the whole system will likely fault. You need to get it to the dealer and get it fixed. It will likely only be a seatbelt sensor, or the wire to the seatbelt buckle unit that has been disturbed.

Eddie
If you suspect the buckle, the units are identified from the diagram below for the intermediate row of seats:
I believe the sensor wiring is integral to the buckle unit. But I'd also check the connectors shown below on the units to where they connect to the harness in case the fault is not in the buckle but in the wiring from there on. I believe that item (7) is the intermediate buckle.
(5) Right, Part: 8774YA, £91.96
(6) Left, Part: 8974YC, £91.96
(7) 8974YE: 8974YE, £91.96
Direct from Citroen, inc, UK VAT.
