Hi guys:
I just replaced the old JWY engine , after 550000 klicks, with a practically new JWZ engine.
Everthing works out fine but, predictably, I have a few leftover wires and the engine and general alarm lights stay on. That's what I want to kill.
Also the injection pump, altough mechanical, has on it something that looks suspiciously like the timing advance unit on the JWY engine.
Strangely enough it is a lucas varity dwlp11 pump.
Any help, please??

I don't think you'll get many replies without posting the original vehicle model, variant, year or even better a VIN. Ditto for the donor engine. From the VIN we can access the info we need for the electrical database.
There are hundreds of wiring diagrams so you'll also need to be more specific about the one you want.
