Bought a Xsara Picasso 2.0 HDI exclusive.
The boot lock plays up, one minute it works then it won't, also at times when o unlock the car I hear the boot click open, is this common ? I have a petrol sx Picasso, will the lock from that fit, ones a 2000 reg. Others 2005, next time it opens I will give it a WD40 spray and see it that helps, but I noticed the hatch back button you push up don't have any movement like it does on my older one,
Look forward to hearing back
Thank you
Xsara Picasso

Re: Xsara Picasso
What did you do to fix it? Whatever it was it was a quick fix!

Re: Xsara Picasso
Took it all apart and removed the switch, the nipple bit was a bit stiff and not popping up enough to reach the handle but that pushes it down to release lock, I gave to a soak in WD40,and pressed the nipple bit in and out a few times, put more WD40 on it and left it 10 mins, plugged in to test and worked, put everything back together and all is fine. Works perfect now

Good to know. I find that 3-in-1 oil in the spray cans works wonders on a host of hard to reach problems and, being an oil, doesn't evaporate like WD40.
