C4 2009 - ESP ECU Location

Does anyone know if the ESP has a dedicated ECU ? If yes where is it located ?

According to the documentation, where the C4 is fitted with an ESP system, then there is no separate ABS ECU fitted. I think you'll find that the ABS/ESP ECU is actually incorporated on the Hydraulic brake block itself. You should be able to locate it following the brake pipes back to the unit. If you want the part for it, send me a PM with your VIN.

It is part 454939 "CENTRAL INERTIA UNIT" it is located left to the gear shift leaver ( LHD car ) . In some sites it is called ABS-ESP unit (https://bartebben.com/parts/citroen/dis ... len-1.html ).

I saw that part part but I think that is kiterally to monitor the inertia of the vehicle - but the the docs do say on the C4, where the ESP system is fitted there is no separate ESP ECU. Glad you found the right part whatever it's called!

That's not the ECU it's the Yaw sensor which tells the car which way it's pointing!
