C5 2009-2012 left rear headrest
Hi all,
I just bought a C5 2.0 Hdi VTR+ from December'2009 and I've noticed that I need to buy a new rear headrest. As my searches in google didn't return any match, could someone point me to the right direction to buy one or, perhaps, someone send it to me from a local retailer? I don't know how much it might cost or how much are the shipping costs but if someone wants to help me I will be glad.
I'm living in Dublin.
Thank you.

Any Citroen dealers near you? They're your best bet, since the headrests will need to be ordered (don't believe someone actually has them in stock), matching you car's other headrests (different colors/models are available depending on the actual car trim)

Any similar C5s that are crashed and/or for breaking around/near you ? Even in Greece there are always 3-4 crashed C5s in the ads for parts....

If you post up the last 8 digits of the VIN I'll get a part number and (UK) price for it. Prepare to be staggered I would guess! Scrapper will be your best option.

What's wrong with the headrest such that it needs replacing?

@Paul-R There's nothing wrong apart from not existing I was aware and bought the car as-is, it was a huge deal that I didn't want to lose because of a missing headrest. I don't even try to understand how the hell onde headrest disappear, specially because everything inside looks in wonderful condition
@RichardW As soon as I get home, I'll take the number and send it to you by PM. Thanks a lot.

No probs I'll look out for it. The headrests get in the way of child seats so get removed and put in the garage. I don't know about in Ireland but over here the last owner is listed on the reg doc - you could do worse than ask them if it's in their garage! I got the removable ball part of the towbar on our C4 this way.....!

....and have a really good look under the drivers and passenger seats if you haven't already - if the seat is raised a bit stuff can go a long way out of sight.
I doubt there are that many variations of upholstery, perhaps all the VTR+ were the same so a scrapper might be the answer.
People often advertise a wheelnut on Ebay just to get a listing so it won't show up in a search for headrests, but they might have them.
Just seen these on Ebay - "parts available" - from the wheels they look like a VTR+.

Amazing, Richard_C, I just emailed both sellers. Let's see if I'm lucky. I'm also trying to know from my dealer who was the previous owner, I still have hope that the previous owner have that headrest collecting dust on his garage
Re: C5 2009-2012 left rear headrest
I know this is not the right topic for it but my next question is about Lexia 3. I didn't know what was it until I bought this amazing car and people all over the net keep talking about it and Service Book, bladibla
Is it worth the investment? I'm not a dummy on cars, I've always fixed the small things like brakes, oil change, fuses, bulb replacements, that sort of rookie things...
The fact is I would like to go through a full system test to make sure that I did a great deal and the idea of a computer checking my car is awesome
Thanks!

The way I look at it is, if you plan on doing your own servicing and repairs - average stuff a garage would do - then a Lexia should be considered part of your tool kit. If you're going to trust a garage to do mostly everything apart from the easy stuff, then a Lexia probably isn't necessary. Don't forget though, a Lexia is one part of the kit - a laptop running Windows is the other bit !!
A running copy of Service Citroen - the electronic workshop manual for Citroen cars - is also mighty useful, though it's generally much pain and suffering to install it. I never know whether to recommend a stiff drink OR sedatives before trying to install the discs Copies (!!!) of Service Citroen can normally be obtained from eBay
Sadly no longer a C5 owner

Re: C5 2009-2012 left rear headrest
If you get a full Lexia clone you may well prove popular with any Citroen/Peugeot owners in the area. Generic code readers will not normally read any PSA car codes; a Lexia clone not only can, but it can do a whole lot more besides. For example, I have fitted a Cruise Control stalk to my C5, checked it had the extra switch facility on the brake pedal (it does), and then used my Lexia clone to let her know that she could now use Cruise Control.
Dealerships normally charge for a Lexia diagnostics session (typically around £50). I tend to just help out (but I would ask for fuel money).
