Heko are pretty well talked of in the VAG circle, not sure if they still make any for xantias though.

Re: Best Window wind delectors Xantia
I have Team Heko on my C4VTS and they work surprisingly well at keeping the noise and breeze down with the window open.

I bought "Climair" from http://www.climairuk.com (they're made in Germany).

Thinking about getting some for the X7 - thanks for the link - here's a vid that compares the ClimAir, Heko and an Italian brand. Some don't have the TUV certification - but interesting to watch!

Re: Best Window wind deflectors Xantia
That's the vid I watched before buying Marc
I went for the Climair mainly because of the lack of fixing clips.
One point to note is that they took about a week before the anti-pinch settled down, I left the window closed for two days and for the next week sometimes the anti-pinch would send the window back down when closing.
I had some Citroën ones fitted to my C4 Piccasso and I left the windows closed for a day and they have never triggered the anti-pinch but that may be because the window seals are only 2 years old compared with my Xantia's that are 16 years old.

Re: Best Window wind deflectors Xantia
They do seem to be the better ones Maurice, but I've emailed them to double check they have C5 X7 ones as searching on their site they aren't listed, but a direct Google search brings up a link to the same website that shows them!
Once they've confirmed they'll fit, I'll order a pair up. I should be able to set the anti pinch using the standard reset after a battery disconnect, but thanks for the heads up.

The anti pinch does not need the 'standard reset after a battery disconnect'. All that's needed is to inch the window up until it goes into place, if later it activates the anti pinch just bring it up again to within 2 inches (50mm) then just move it up a little at a time. As said above, with a newer car after a day with the window closed it should be okay. My C4P has laminated glass and that has never activated the anti pinch.

Ok I'll wait till I get them and see how it goes, I just hope these will work with the Exclusive that has the chrome trims where the bottom side piece is supposed to rest instead of the rubber!

Re: Best Window wind deflectors Xantia
Don't have a sunroof on this one - never used them much previously, but all the ones I had made a whistling noise - Climair also do the screens for the sunroof too - so there does seem to be a call for them.MTND wrote:Open the sun roof, nice breeze and no wind noise? If you have one?!
About £85 for the 2 front & 2 rear deflectors - so I think that 2 fronts to start with and see how they look.

Update: Well I decided to get a set for the X7 and thought it better to put some info and pics in a separate post for the C5 to make it easier to find - link:

They look good Marc
I didn't go for the rears for the Xantia but looking at then on the X7 I probably should have done.

Re: Best Window wind deflectors Xantia
I wasn't originally going to have the full set , but then thought they might look a bit odd if I just have the fronts - and I think I was right as it keeps the line of the car. Glad you like them - I got mine from Red Car Accessories via the bay, as the official UK ClimAir website isn't working properly and didn't list them for my car, but does on the Google search for the same site! - I rang them to tell them about the website issue and it looks like the webmaster is having a few issues as half the links don't work either. Red Motor Accessories, who had these in stock and with delivery under 2 days, was excellent.
I don't think they actually did any for the rears on the Xantia Maurice according to the German site - but they do list a custom deflector for the sunroof though:
