cd changer plug ends in a huge white plug (excuse the mess!!)elma wrote:Could the other one be a CD changer cable or would that be in the boot?

All eras of Xantia's had versions with electric seats right from the beginning. In Series 1 VSX got Electric seats right from 1993. In series 2 Exclusive got Electric seats.Paul-R wrote:Does the Xantia of that era have an option for electrically controlled (motorised) seats? If so, that's surely got to be the plug for it.
Never let facts ruin a good joke.chinkostu wrote: and it does actually go under the seat, theres another cable that then runs to the boot
the looms are a mixed bag tbh! mine has all the gubbins for heated seats (plugs under coin tray and seats) but not electric seatsMandrake wrote:All eras of Xantia's had versions with electric seats right from the beginning. Doesn't mean that the wiring loom is present on lesser models though.

Yep there can be quite a few unused plugs on Citroen's. The ES9J4 on the Series 2 Xantia V6 has an unused plug cable tied to the side of the engine between the cruise control bellows and air filter box - I've always wondered what that plug was for and whether the other end was connected to something. Then I discovered on the Series 1 Xantia V6 I have now it has that same unused plug and another unused plug cable tied right next to it.chinkostu wrote: the looms are a mixed bag tbh! mine has all the gubbins for heated seats (plugs under coin tray and seats) but not electric seatstheres loads of spare plugs under the dash too, and one that was stuck under the clocks!
