FS: Xantia V6 Activa Conversion Kit for TCT to V6 swap

Unread post by DS21 »

I have for sale a kit of parts to convert a TCT Xantia Activa into the ultimate Xantia Activa; a V6 engined Activa. :-D

Included are the following parts:

V6 Engine
Top Engine Mount
Engine Mount Tie Bar
Coolant Pipes
Coolant header Tank
Manual Gearbox
Gearbox Mount
Clutch
Flywheel
Lower Engine Mount
Starter Motor
Alternator
Engine Wiring Loom
ECU
Air Intake Pipe
Air Filter and bracket
Battery Tray
HP Pump
Pump pipes
PAS pressure Regulator and pipes
Front Strut Feed pipes
LHM tank Piping/Harness
V6 Fuel Feed Hoses
V6 Front Calipers
Exhaust
V6 Handbrake Cable Guides
Steering Rack Heatshield
Cooling Fans and Cowling
V6 Specific Throttle Cable
V6 Pinion Valve
Aircon Compressor
V6 Heater Matrix Connector

You will need to source:

N/S Driveshaft,
V6 O/S Handbrake cable (buy new)
Front hydractive sphere block

One or two other bits may need to be sourced but you're pretty much there for very little outlay. There is no V6 steering rack but the pinion from a V6 rack is included which will enable you to use your own TCT steering rack. You also get a few spare water coolant bottles thrown in (good to have spares).

Only looking for £350.00 no offers as I think this is a very fair price given how hard it's increasingly getting to find a donor car, I've seen V6 engines alone go for this amount. Complete cambelt kit also included.

I had plans for converting my Xantia Activa but a CX project has got in the way so this dream will have to be forgotten...

Engine is currently stored with a friend in Milton Keynes and I can consolidate the other parts to make collection easier for the buyer. If you ever dreamt of doing this, now maybe the time to get the parts!! :)

Friend is me and all the above is what I collected before and I have another very critical part here in the form of a steering rack heat shield.

I also have the gearbox here and I offered to let George have the engine with 'box and clutch attached with a new cambelt/waterpump fitted and the camboxes resealed...

This offer is extended to the purchaser of the kit of parts...

Along with any advice I can offer to assist in finishing this project...

It's mine if i can sort out collection ....please Jim & George!

Believe it or not i've been hanging onto my activae and v6 for just this 'opportunity' [emoji1]

I've never really understood my cars, nows the chance to sink or swim. I reckoned this stash was Jim's bits n bobs so cant be that far off a complete car! Will everything fit into a TD boot? I've got no seats or carpets in as i've removed them today to sort out a 'deluge', the cause yet to be identified.

Excellent Mike... It should all fit in a medium sized van, C5 Tourer or XM Estate ;)

I cannot say when the engine/box will be ready for collection as it can only be dealt with after Davie's Activa is finished and that's currently delayed a short while due to all my weekends now for the foreseeable future being spent in Somerset...

You have PM :)

If you are not intending to do this yourself I would highly recommend BL Autos to do the work for you, very reputable garage with a lot of experience with this conversion and have been working on Citroens for many years. They are very nice to deal with too.

Which Activa is that?
I've got two activae just going to dust up here, one of which needs the engine out (can i fix it, no i cant!) so who knows what could happen.

I've also got a v6 sitting there (yes, i am a hoarder by nature!) so again ..... potential for two v6 activae [emoji1] [emoji1] [emoji1]

Or none!

Guess i'm going to need to order a new shed to store the bits for the time being.

If you are north of Jim, it may be possible for me to take some of it when my car is being collected.

Fold the back seats down and the whole lot will fit in ;)

Will the engine/gearbox fit into an empty TD saloon or is the boot lip too high to crane in?

If you get the engine back far enough into the rear seats when folded down I'd imagine you would be OK.
Then wedge it in so it can't roll anywhere, especially backwards!
