Can anyone recommend an Injector Removal socket that's thin enough to go around No.4 Injector?
I'm a bit put out having just bought a Sealey thin wall Injector socket, which isn't thin enough to go around No.4 Injector (there's a raised bit on the cylinder head which means there's less clearance on No.4 than there is No.s 1,2 & 3.
[I think I'm right in counting 1 to 4 Right to Left; I'm referring to the one closest to the cam belt]
My actual purchase: "Sealey Diesel Injector Socket 27mm Thin Wall 1/2"Sq Drive SX024", Ebay Item 391255650422
Many thanks

I used this one
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-DIESEL-IN ... Swx-9Wuk6E
I couldn't find one without the window.
Avoid the Halfords one, bought that first and it doesn't fit at all as the cutout inside it only goes halfway up.
I'm surprised the raised bit got in your way but the socket I used does look a tad thinner.

Re: XUD Injector Removal Socket
thanks for that James, I thought the Laser one looked thinner, too. I'm guessing you found that one like that successfully got all four of your Xantia's injectors out?
PS: does it fit snugly too? I was surprised that there was a fair bit of slack in the Sealey one; tho' it did still 'hold' even though I had to use a breaker bar to get em to budge

Yes I was able to swap all 4 injectors with this one.
It was a slightly loose fit and I was concerned about damage but none was done.

Re: XUD Injector Removal Socket
I used a spanner to pull mine, don't remember having trouble getting it in there really. Only problem was not being about to torque them up properly on refitting!
Make sure you take a peak at which way the fire seals are orientated when you pull the injectors so you know which way up your new ones go. I had to look it up after failing to do this
