C 5 Facelift Folding Mirrors

Unread post by lakanooky2 »

I have just fitted the my Folding Mirrors from my Hatchback to my Estate along with the motors and drivers door switch, the mirrors will fold in with the Lexia, but not without the lexia.
When in the Hatchback they used to fold in when alarm was set and tilt down when reverse was selected.
Have missed something out on the install ?
Thanks In Advance Mark

I take it you were using the actuator tests on Lexia to demo that they worked? Have you also changed the relevant options under the BSI configuration to enable them? You will have an option somewhere concerning indexable mirror when reverse gear selected(or similar) and possibly one other option to do with the mirrors that need to be configured for it to work.

On the X7 the option is under Customer options - 'Multiplexed folding electric rear view mirrors' and again under the Lighting / Signalling Visability section - along with another option - 'Rear View Mirrors Indexed to Reverse Gear'

OP has a facelift - will it be the same?

Interesting though for me as I would quite like indexing mirror even though it's not as important with the rear camera. My Lexia offers the X7 in the menu but I wonder if a 2008 installation will choke on a 2013 car!

I use the left and right indexed mirrors on reverse as it really saves scrapping the alloys, which I doubt a camera would show at the sides Paul, but would be nice to have both!
