AX bonnet release

Sounds daft, but I can't find the bonet release on an AX!
Am I missing something obvious, or is it an example of Citroen weirdness?

On my 1992 AX Echo it's on the underside of the steering housing. A lever set amongst the plastic moulding. My housing is a little loose, if it was looser it could completly obscure the fact there's anything there at all?

Is it Mk1 or Mk2?
If its Mk1 run your finger down in a line from the rear wiper button and where your finger stops before it falls off the dash its just behind there..

I found it in the end, tucked right up underneath the dash completely out of sight . . .
