Xantia clutch adjustment

Post by tim leech »

Hi guys

Is the clutch cable on my 97 mk1 1.8 adjustable at all as the pedals a bit high and the clutch bite low.

Cable should be adjusted so the clutch pedal rubber is 6 inches above the floor Tim...

It'll be adjustable if the end of the cable at the gearbox end has an adjusting nut and locknut on the threaded end of the cable... On an auto tensioner the cable ends in a big round plate...

Cheers jim I'll have a look, done plenty of bx ones but wasn't sure if these were self adjusting!
