Hi
My 307cc 2.0 petrol has a juddering when setting off from standstill, especially in reverse ?
I have changed the clutch (lower biting point now) but it still judders, strangely it's worse in reverse which makes me think it's not the clutch ?
What else could cause this ?

Worn engine mounts (excessive engine movement)?
Also a symptom of a DMF on the way out, but you probably don't have one of these.
Oil on the clutch would do this too, but you've probably checked that.

Hi
Yes the clutch has been changed about 20 miles ago, all was dry in there and no DMF. Will look at the other engine mounts as I have just changed the top o/s one. Perhaps the bottom rear one ?

Good about no DMF.
With only 20 miles on it, it might be a bit grabby until it polishes up. Give it 500 miles, and see.
Someone who knows the 307 well will be able to advise on how much engine movement you should see, either by moving it by hand/lever, or by letting up the clutch carefully when parked and braked.

Re: 307cc juddering when setting off
The engine mounts are a good place to look - and flywheel issues can be confused with mounts degrading.
Have a look to see if there are any cracks or chunks missing on the mounting blocks.

Hi the lower rear mount was very soft, I have just replaced it and the engine is now pretty much solid. I haven't tried the car yet but it's got to be much better.
