Hi all,
I am having an issue with the wiper stalk (Button) on my 2002 C5.
The button on the end of the stalk won't let me change through the different functions on the display, ie, How many miles left in tank, current MPG, etc etc.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 2002 C5 Wiper Stalk Problem
This is probably the known problem where the springy piece of copper inside the end of the stalk breaks. Some people have had success by gluing it back. I didn't have any and so my 2003 C5 has been some 7 - 8 years without this facility.

Hi Paul,
Very many thanks for your response, was is easy enough to take the button off to try and glue the copper springy bit back on by any chance ?
Kind regards
Ian

Re: 2002 C5 Wiper Stalk Problem
It was quite a few years ago, and I may miss something out, but here goes with a generalised (vague!) recollection.
I had to drop the bits of trim underneath and around the column to dash. Steering wheel off (care with the ribbon strip). Off with the column shrouds - possibly had to lower the column to do this. The end of the stalk can be prised off and then you can see inside where it's broken. In order to get the springy bit to stay in place loosen the Com2000 unit and rotate so the wiper stalk is hanging down. I think I had to unplug all the looms from the Com2000 to this. I think I had to slide the shaped bit at the end of the stalk down at some point as well.
Not a huge help I'm afraid. Hopefully someone will have done it more recently and put all my wrongs right.
