Xantia cooling fans

Post by DoubleChevron »

Hi Guys,
on my '96 Xantia the cooling fans have started kicking in at under 70degrees C. Once on they run at full speed indefinatly (even though the thermastat isn't yet open). Once the cars has been switched off the fans turn off for about 3minutes, then they run for 5minutes at low speed (after the motor has been switched off).
I've already cleaned all the earth points around the battery, and cleaned/fixed the battery terminals. I'm not sure how the fans operate on this car ?? There doesn't appear to be a temp switch on the radiator, but it's gotta be somewhere[:o)]
seeya,

Shane,
Have posted a response on Citroen-Z, but the Bitron sensor controls the cooling fans - try a search on this forum - LOADS of threads come up.....
