Been having some fun this Easter weekend.

Post by Mothman »

New lift installed, dont know how i managed without it. Repiped the front to rears on a BX with assistance from an expert in a couple of hours. Result.

Oh that does look tasty. I really do miss the four post ramps we had when I worked in a workshop thirty years ago. I manage to do quite a bit on the ground and even in the road but my bones are just getting too old.

Disregarding the slight matter of a ceiling high enough, how much did the two poster cost?
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

Saw that on Facebook Andy, so jealous...

Makes so many jobs so easy. Could do with one of those right now to assist with my Activa clutch job!

Cost me a grand bud. You can get them cheaper 2nd hand, about half this. Its a real godsend. Makes car maintenance a pleasure. No more rolling around under cars for me ever again.

How well do they take to being installed outdoors? I once knew a garage that had one installed exactly like that.

In that case, scrub Garage, and add large tent with awning and space heater! :-D

They did once in Milton Keynes but it never quite caught on... They did a garage with ramp equipped bays you could rent by the hour/day to help you fix your car...

ISTR that Halfords also once offered hiring of workshop facilities.

Jealous X 3: Workshop, lift, BX !!!

I've got a garage, but it's full of Visa and junk so no room for cars; and not enough head height for a lift!!

What a brilliant idea! I'll bet good money it was probably nobbled due to 'elf and safety' and insurance premiums!
