"A" Series market

First we had the MECC in Maastricht, Retromobile in Paris, the Antwerp Classic Salon and the Salon Champenois in Reims, this saturday the ICCCR2016 promotion crew take their stuff to the A-market in Gemert, Holland. Firmly believing that we need to honour the little ones to be worthy of visiting the large events, our boys (and girls, you never know) will be all over the A-type owners this saturday. Convincing them to join us at the sixteenth Citroën World Meeting.

Looking at our stats we can clearly notice our tin snail lovers falling behind in sales. We can't just have all those DS's and Traction Avants without their common counterpart the magnificent A-type Citroëns. That's why we will be coming to Gemert this weekend, to recruit all those 2cv, Ami, Dyane or Mehari-owners for our venue. They'll all be there anyway, exposing their beautiful little cars to the first rays of spring sunshine. Buying that much wanted part on the market or just catching up with fellow enthousiasts. Making plans of course, for the ICCCR2016 this summer. See you Saturday in Gemert!

Ground Control

As Citroën enthousiasts we all know what ongoing re-inventing really means. In music there is no better comparison than the late rock phenomenon David Bowie. Who else embodied the connection between the 70's, 80's and 90's by constantly re-inventing his music, himself and staying ahead in pop music and popart..? Exactly. Even with his final masterpiece Blackstar Bowie managed to fool everyone. So with dignified pride we present you Ground Control, the very best David Bowie tribute band at this very moment. Live on the ICCCR2016.

Ries de Wit (vocals), Hans van Binsbergen (guitar), Coen van Woerkom (bass guitar), Peter de Belie (guitar), Bart Smits (keyboard) and Jago Agricola (drums) all have a very different musical background, totally different musical bagage, still they know how to combine these to one shared musical passion: David Bowie. Ground Control lives up to the expectations and plays the best, the greatest and most important songs from his gigantic repertoire.

Ground Control is on a mission: playing Bowie-songs with a passion. Sometimes almost identical to it's original, sometimes with a little twist, but always with great respect for the Thin White Duke himself… From 'Ziggy Stardust' to 'Station to Station', from 'Space Oddity' to 'Heroes', from 'Five Years' to 'Let's Dance' and from 'Changes' to 'Scary Monsters'… Every period of David Bowie's musical career is special and Ground Control manages to perform this very realistically in a very special, musical and colourful live show. Live on stage at the sixteenth Citroën World Meeting.

PLEASE NOTE: The International Citroen Car Club Rally (ICCCR) has been held approximately every 4 years since 1972.
This is the 16th instance of the event and is being held in Rhedden, Netherlands, close to Arnhem.
It is open to all owners of all models of Citroen and Citroen based "Specials".
Whilst the bulk of owners are usually DS then Traction then "A" Series, the number of "more recent" models continues to grow.

If you want a taste of what the event may be like, have a look at the site of the 15th ICCCR which was held in Harrogate, Yorkshire: http://www.icccr2012.org.uk

Mick
