HID conversions & Selective yellow headlights

Post by Stonehopper »

For information if nothing else:

My GS has selective yellow asymmetric bulbs (not halogen), and they are ample for regular driving at night.

I'm convinced that the GS lights are the best I have ever known.

A little more from Phill who has been doing some digging:

- and an interesting point about minimum Wattages of dipped beam headlamps for vehicles with four or more wheels used before 1st April 1986:
http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/1989 ... ule/4/made
See section 8, paragraph (c).

More on the lighting front;
The complexities of LED's, their heat sinks and output:

- and on reflector design:

Hat tip to Phill over on 2cvGB - it was he who did the digging!
