Glow plugs for WVO
Which glow plugs do you use for WVO? I mounted NGK plugs and they were dead after just 4 months. I am running 70%WVO and 30% diesel. I would rather pay a bit more for plugs that will last at least a year. Changing them is a fiddly job...

Re: Glow plugs for WVO
Didnt think it mattered but fyi i ALWAYS fit the standard BERU plugs and havent had a problem with any fuelling and do run wvo in the warmer months 70/30. Plugs have been in for years now!

AS long as they are good, it should not make any difference as said.. Agreed that BERU ones seem to be good...

Re: Glow plugs for WVO
Well the problem is that it gets "eaten" at the tip... Maybe WVO is too aggressive? Did a bit of research and people running WVO have similar problems, plugs not lasting more than a year. Plugs with ceramic tips might solve the problem, but as far as I know they are quite expensive...
You can see on the image that the tip is "eaten" just after 4 months and the plug is scrap...

Re: Glow plugs for WVO
WVO is quite corrosive, it's all the impurities in it I expect... I've seen what it can do to pumps...
What brand were those glowplugs?

Re: Glow plugs for WVO
Personally, I never rated NGK ones very highly... Try a set of BERU ones...
