After some advice re C5 Mk1 driveshafts please :-
Car in question is a Mk1 2.2HDI (DW12TED4) estate with the ZF 4HP20 auto gearbox and I am in need of a RH driveshaft as I'm 99% certain the inner joint is on its last legs. Sounds simple enough - but no 2 parts shops seem able to agree on which one I need as the auto and manual ones are different lengths
The options seem to be 934mm (SKF VKJC5266) or 907mm ( CEVAM 7095)
Can anyone out there confirm which of the 2 is the correct fitment for the auto box? General concensus seems to be the 934mm SKF (or a Spidan one also 934mm) but I also have a couple of votes for the shorter CEVAM one
I *think* the Citroen part number is 3273EK but the Citroen site doesn't tell you helpful stuff like how long it is
Unfortunately I can't do the obvious - take the old shaft off, measure it and then order a replacement - its my partners car, she's disabled and can't afford to be without it for a week
If anyone can resolve this - we'd be grateful
Thanks all,
Martin
