Xantics latest C5

Unread post by Xantic »

This is my latest C5, the type i have been looking for ages.

Stickyfinger gave his input on this car as well as a nice gentle ride in the Activa.

Anyway it's a 2.2 HDI Auto with 96k on the clock
Cambelt done at 80k. Dpf topped up along with a new pump

New brakes front and rear. So far just put diesel in and go, once i have used the diesel that was in it when i bought it.

Just a few pictures as it stopped raining for 2 mins 34 seconds here today. =D>

Thanks
I have not had chance to clean it yet although it was not dirty by all means.

And yes Paul Citroenxm, i know you have warned me off the 2.2 in the past but this one i think is worth taking the chance on. Especially what i paid for it. At least Dick Turpin wore a mask unlike me.

The Owner said the DPF filter had been replaced as well ?

Now, when are you going to remove that bloody Volkswagen you abandoned at my place...its embarrassing having that "German Thing" near me, a forum member may see it :)

(no rush as you know :) )

I stand corrected, Well sitting down really. Yes the filter has been changed too. Went through the history of the car last night, He could have bought a Bungalow for what has been spent.

As for the German thing, throw a cover over it, hang on, you made me put it in next doors drive. lol.

We have a conflict in the house now. Her indoors thinks she likes the german thing, I like the french thing. Happy days because i like both, So conclusion. Keep the pair of them. I won at last.

Most inconsiderate of them setting up some work barriers when i want to take photos, and the telegraph pole wouldn't budge. lol
No room to park else where to avoid the background unwanted items, i know i could have photo shopped them out but is it worth it for a few snaps

Just that little bumper overrider scrape to spray over Russ, then it's 100%....and it has not even gone through the primer. Nice and easy

That is a nice looking car. Just keep your eyes on those wheels. Alasdair was interested in some (did you contact that scrappy, Alasdair?). :-D

Yes the little scrape needs to be done Alasdair

When i get my German car back from Stickyfinger, (if he haven't dug a hole and buried it) i can get my tripod and take some night photo's then.

Shame the sun did not come out but that is asking something in Wales, and maybe the photo's might have been a bit better.
