I always wondered about how to do that, well done for ridding many C5 drivers of the "Broom Handle" syndrome

That's useful if you can actually find one, I haven't had any success so far, all those advertised have been for the hatch, I did find some at a horrendous price and when I checked they didn't have any. I will stick to the broom handle - nothing to go wrong with that.

Presumably that is per strut. Do they have them in stock?

Yes, per strut - no idea whether they're in stock, but they're not listed as NFP so they should be readily available. Plaedies might be able to re-gas them. You can buy a pair for about £90 -£100 on ebay.

Thanks, I have just bought new main struts so this is really helpful. For the last 2 years I have been using a telescopic pole to hold up the tailgate!

Couldn't find any on ebay, at least not that on enquiry were the right ones. Been trying to work out some way of locking it up, haven't come to any conclusions yet though.

Hatchback with seats out. Plywood carpet where the seats were. Equals estate and 17 quid for the struts off ebay ......fitted in 2 minutes

Had my new struts fitted today, sooooo nice not to have to use the broom stick anymore !!
