Can anyone tell me what this is and what it does ....... Looks like the one on my new 8v has been butchered

I dont see it well. Could be boost sensor (MAP).

Yes, pretty sure that's the boost sensor

Yes its the boost pressure sensor & i'll pretty much guarantee it was broken by someone not being careful when changing the air filter.
