It's not the same engine as in the 2.5 XM is it?

It is a long way from here, and not in the current budget, but surprisingly it was Louise who spotted it (not even knowing what a CX was)

No it is a pre-PSA citroen engine, I don't know much about them, but I believe they were rather well liked, but with a tendency for porous cylinder blocks.

It's a bullet proof simple push rod Citroen engine. Not fast though in that guise (non turbo) and it's not the most refined of beasts, either :D

Absolutely no problems with porous blocks - that was only the DTR T2 in series 2 cars (and any of those will have long since been sorted anyway, otherwise they wouldn't still be going).
