Xantia Window clip attachment

Hi All,
Have just had another window clip give way - this time the flimsy plastic clip (in lieu of the metal one) gave way; really bad timing due to the low temperature!
Previously I have managed to refit the original rubber grommet and metal spring clip, but the last time it went, this July, as I just could not get the clip through the grommet, decided to give the supplied rectangular "clip" a try .
It looked too flimsy - it was.
Does any one know of a sure-fire way to fit the proper grommet and clip?
I will be very grateful if someone fleet of finger can supply a solution

I have plenty of original rubber grommet and metal spring clips in the garage, these are citroen ones. Do you want one posted to you?
I removed the glass,I took the window mechanism down to a position to fit grommet easily,refitted glass and then fitted grommet.
Had no problems since.
Send me a pm with address and I'll send you off grommet.

Kenny, many thanks for the offer . I do have a couple of the original Citroen rubber ones, but had problems fitting. Will try using silicon spray to see if it eases the situation. Again, thankyou for your kind offer. Kind regards,
