Peugeot 807 after market head unit wiring

Hey guys. Ok so ive just bought a peugeot 807 2.2 hdi and ive changed the standard stereo for a pioneer cd player. The problem im having is that the new stereo wont turn off when i take the key out the ignition like the origional one did. Any ideas guys? Ive switched the yellow lead to red and red to yellow and it hasnt made a difference. Cheers guys

You need to run a separate ignition live to the stereo as there isn't one at the radio connector, the 12v socket on the dash is perfect for this.

Cheers for the reply. I thought of the cig lighter but will it over load the fuse? Also is the wiring for the lighter socket easy to get to?
