Heating flaps

Post by KennyW »

Is there a way to move the flaps in the system to blow onto windscreen without the removal of dash :?:

Kenny

PS the wire pulling system is not shifting the flaps.

Hi All,

Just a quick update, Imanage to move the necessary flap by removing the ashtray, heating control unit ie the sliders and radio.

The brown outer cable with blue tape on it controls the flap runnings to a blue cog which then is then linked to a grey cog. My blue cog was broken so move grey cog by hand and checked by switching ignition to confirm air was blowing onto screen.

In order to repair properly I would need at least the blue cog and possibly the grey one as well as there is a small plastic pin which positions the blue cog correctly.
