1.6 HDi (later DV6C) Injector

Post by RichardW »

Unusual I think - my Dad's 2011 C4 Picasso with the later 1.6 HDI DV6C engine has had an injector die. Just seems to have given up the ghost for no apparent reason! Anybody heard of similar? Might try for a contrib from Cit, as it's only just out of warranty, but I can imagine where that will lead....! New one is £360 from Citroen - I imagine a recon one could be fitted for (a lot) less than that. Do they need coding anyone know?

Not sure on the coding Richard - I don't think they are actually coded, but the flowrates need to be programmed into the ECU - as these will obviously differ from reconditioned to new units. Found these people which might help - they have a mobile fitting service and are based in Birmingham:
