Help find C5 fuel filter pls

I just lost 3/4 of the power in my C5 V6 and the Anti Pollution Fault alert is showing
I am guessing that I need a new fuel filter, at least that is a start point.
I cannot locate the filter and am having to work outside in a swamp.
In order to minimise my immersion can anyone point me to the location of the filter please

I await your support while I fetch my snorkel, hasn't stopped raining here for weeks

Can you provide more details of vehicle C5 V6 , petrol or diesel year and VIN. Once we have that I'm sure somebody will be in touch.

Petrol, 2002, Exclusive 3 litre

Unlikely to be the fuel filter, but no harm in changing it.... much more likely to be the coil or something. Can't remember if this engine uses a single coil like the earlier ones, or coil packs? The latter are well known for failing.

if it is a coil pack - would one from a 1998 Xantia be a suitable replacement?
I have a dead V6 Xantia for spares for my other Xantia, all have ES9J4 engine

Do you have access to service citroen to check part no ?
Other wise if mandrake (Simon) is online he can tell a lot about the V6 unit and coil packs.

You'll struggle to find the fuel filter one because it probably doesn't have one apart from the strainer in the tank.
If the fuel pump & injector rails only have one pipe on them (ie no return) then it wont have a fuel filter.
Citroen seemed to stop fitting them to a lot of petrol cars around 2001 apart from 'dusty atmosphere' models.

The Xantia V6 and C5 V6 are whole different engines.
So many changes and very little chance of ignition or anything else sharing components.

There's no external fuel filter, only fitted in dusty climates. If the polution fault comes up and you've lost power it's most likely one or more of the coils have failed. Change the lot as one will follow another when they start to go. ECP do them.
