C5 2ltr 53 /120k Flat spot on acceleration

I have a Citroen C5 2.0 Hdi ,53 Plate approx 120k Deisel , bought it last year some probs with suspension but that is hopefully sorted now ,I recently drove approx 800 miles round trip mostly on motorway ,went well until I tried to accelerate and hit a flat spot around 2000rpm and then 3000rpm but clears itself and has a surge of power till around the 80mph , did'nt go any faster as too many police going about ,now it is doing it almost everytime I try to accelerate ,any Ideas was going to change fuel filter etc first , because it seemed to happen after I put some diesel in from ASDA so was going to start there .

You'll need a diagnostic session to check where the faults are (possibly while running to get some live data), as there are so many possibilities like a stuck or blocked EGR valve or a small hole in the turbo hose, MAF sensor etc., etc., or you could have picked up some crap in the supermarket fuel. Get it on the Diagbox first before you start spending. There's a list of Forum members that have a diagnostic kit - have a squiz to see if any are near you.
